About me....

Hello, my name is Sunny, a professional makeup artist and Photographer living in a beautiful village: Jimena de la Frontera, Andalucía Spain.

My professional journey started in Paris France, where I completed a Full time international Make-up course at L’Ecole Supèrieur de Maquillage Artistique’. I was then lucky enough to work at the world-famous Paris fashion shows which was a demanding but a wonderful experience in my personal and professional life!

​

When returned to Amsterdam in Holland I continued my makeup artistry work for several mainstream magazine companies, Dutch television network programs, makeup artistry for singers preparing for CD cover photo shoots, various forms of advertising and theatre work for example “My Fair Lady” Wigs, hair and make-up and continued my freelance work for fashion shows, all types of photoshoots, weddings and custom workshops.

I then wanted to fulfil a dream of mine which was to travel to Australia to experience life down under for a while and when the opportunity arose I left Holland for another adventure, while in Australia I attended the Brisbane School of Hairdressing completing an Australian certified professional hair design course. I then gained employment as a trainer at the Franklin International school for makeup as well as for a modelling school which again was a wonderful experience with very fond memories.

As for photography, which has always been my passion, I have guite some family members that are (professional) photographers, during my studio work as a makeup artist I had a fascination with what the photographers were doing and took in as much knowledge as possible learning from the best which has enabled me to create many beautiful images of my own. So it wasn’t a surprise to my family and friends when I started my business which includes both photography and makeup.

My style of photography is of a natural nature, I´m always looking for that special moment to take a photo that stands out, the capturing of emotions, the mood of the light for that moment, the varying colours that change through the day depending on the time of day.

• For horse events I capture the beauty of the animals in still and in action as well as detailing the symbiotic relationship between humans and animals.

• For personal photoshoots I attempt to find the perfect location for the personability of the subject or subjects.                                                         

My photography work experience has been varied which have included weddings, horses/horse events, sports, food, portrait, mother and baby.

As for my makeup artistry skills I’ve used them for photoshoots, weddings, commercials, film and theatre and I´m always open to any new suggestions and adventures :-)

​

On a personal level I’m an enthusiastic, articulate and always a positive person. I speak Dutch, English, French and learning Spanish as we speak.

​

I´m now living my dream in Spain and my immediate geographical working area is in Andalucía, Spain, especially around Malaga, Ronda and Vejer de la Frontera, but I also travel anywhere in the world for a project.
